Logan SES

Born in Sudan, freedom and security was something that was not a given in Emmanuel Andrew’s life. But since volunteering with the Logan City State Emergency Service (SES), he has found a place in the community that will not only help others, but connection which he had always longed for.

“I have been given a second chance, and just helping others in need gives that feeling I have done something in somebody’s life” says Emmanuel. “Helping others is what I like to do, I like to talk to people, and I like being around people and making a change in the community”.

The following video will demonstrate the valuable contribution of volunteering to Logan and how an emergency volunteer such as Emmanuel aids in disaster recovery.
